Crypto Discount on Luxury Goods
Fancy.com, a curated luxury goods marketplace featuring over 250,000 products, has declared that, since the company doesn’t cover credit card processing or fraud coverage fees on orders set with crypto, the website is going to pass those savings to the customer. So anyone who pays with BTC or BCH can just type in the reduction code “crypto,” and their cost will be reduced by 3 percent. The company explains that in an average $1,000 each Fancy purchase, crypto clients stand to save $30 on every one of their orders.
Holding Bitcoin Cash on Fancy was not just about the change to Bitpay, but also concerning the philosophical underpinnings of the BCH community, according to the website ’s CEO. “After you see about their expectation for Bitcoin Cash, it seems pretty much like our hopes and other people’s expects about frictionless commerce and a world empowering not only consumers but vendors to run trades in the most efficient way possible. At the surface, we think there’s a alignment philosophically with Bitcoin Cash,” Einhorn explained to Modern Consensus.
